This hotel is a hidden gem nestled in a fantastic area of the world. The location is simply stunning, surrounded by beautiful countryside and delightful formal gardens. The car park has ample space for guests, ensuring a stress-free arrival. The attention to detail throughout the hotel is impeccable, from the fair selection of dishes on offer in the brasserie, to the comfortable rooms with a four-poster bed and provided toiletries and towels. The staff here really go above and beyond to make your stay enjoyable, with Suzanne and Matt being particularly attentive and helpful. The breakfast deserves a special mention, as it is made with excellent quality produce and offers a wide variety of hot and cold options to suit all tastes.
Nothing to fault, everything was just perfect.

The hotel is nestled in the rolling Cheshire hills, offering stunning views of the countryside. the warm and friendly greetings from staff in the restaurant, bar, and lounge area create a welcoming atmosphere. the rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable, ensuring a peaceful night's sleep. the breakfast is excellent, with plenty of options to choose from. Guests also appreciate the facilities and advantages, such as being able to eat with their dogs in a certain area.
The decor of the building, including the corridors and rooms, is in need of updating.

The breakfast was the best buffet style breakfast that I have had in the UK in many years.
Unmanded reception upon arrival, not the best impression.

Very cheerful and helpful staff. Excellent food and reasonably priced wine. Lovely big soft towels in the bathroom. Efficient central heating.
Outside temperature was minus seven degrees when I arrived but the heating was turned off in my room!! However lots of hot water for a bath and with radiators turned on room soon warmed up.

Upon arrival, the beautiful old building and friendly staff made a great first impression. The hotel's grounds were lovely and provided a picturesque backdrop for photos.- The afternoon tea was enjoyable, with delicious food and the option for refills.- The staff provided great service, ensuring that we felt looked after without feeling rushed.- We were given the opportunity to explore the hotel and even have a look at the wedding room.
The hotel seemed a bit tired and could benefit from a refurbishment. The atmosphere was lacking, and the hotel didn't quite match the impression given by the website.

Enjoyable Xmas stay with festive atmosphere. Great food with good variety and quality. Convenient location with easy access to nearby attractions.
Limited room amenities and outdated decor. Lack of attention to detail in cleaning and maintenance, such as dirty bathrooms and moldy showerheads.
